Even before the tsunami I had SL on my screens due to the improving economy and diminishing political risk. cheers, --mt. As long as you avoid mentioning any financial products defined under the Act. Someone who implies that they're offering rounded personal advice under these circumstances might have saved themself the cost of a license, but is being deceptive IMO. > > I assume because they're dealing with mortgage products they fall > under different legislation/laws and may not need the same level of > disclosure and compliance as ASIC expects from financial planners. > > Weird? > > Plus would love to know where all these positively geared properties > are... > > Margaret Lomas hates positive cash flow propertyby ESPRESSY on 2005-01-30 14:58:15 Chris, did you have time to inspect the investment scene in vietnam? I find a far greater obsession with real estate there than in australia. viet > > anyone recieving monies for giving advice should have to be licensed > and i cant see any asic number on her website, would love to see how > many cashflow positive residential properties are floating around at > the moment for her to buy. anyway just got back from 3 weeks in vietnam > and can highly recommend a visit there to anyone. > Chris P > Margaret Lomas hates positive cash flow propertyby CHRIS P on 2005-01-30 17:49:40espressy wrote: > Chris, > did you have time to inspect the investment scene in vietnam? What surprised me is that our local tour tour guide advised us that in Ho Chi Min City (HCMC)properties sell for around $300,000 US but the average monthly salary is $200 US if you work for the government however having said that most Vietnamese appear to have 2 jobs and work about 14 hours per day every day. Some very poor people live in houses in the city which have been passed down from generations and it seems they live a few families per house or a few generations per house. i would definately say the rich put their monies into property in HCMC as they have a huge inflow of people who come from the country to live in HCMC and can only afford to rent. I actually dont even know if they have a stock market but it is a communist country and outside of exporting rice and the motor cycle industry i cant think what Vietnams big companies woudl be where the rich could invest capital locally. Other than that i guess they invest in other Asian markets. We went to a few minority tribes and in all my travels i have never seen such poverty although friends tell me cambodia is worse. the amazing thing is i have also never seen people who are such at peace with life and there is alot of people who could learn a thinkg or two from the vietnamese culture. > > > > > anyone recieving monies for giving advice should have to be > > and i cant see any asic number on her website, would love to see > > many cashflow positive residential properties are floating around > > the moment for her to buy. anyway just got back from 3 weeks in > > and can highly recommend a visit there to anyone. > > Chris P > >
